Have Your Say

Welcome to Budshead Medical Practice

Budshead Medical Practice in Whitleigh provides the highest quality healthcare to patients in the Plymouth area. There are 4 doctors , 3 practice nurses with attached midwife, district nurses and a smoking advisor. Each doctor has his own style of working. Although you are registered with the practice we do encourage you to see your own doctor whenever possible. We also have training GPs in the practice. These are qualified doctors looking to become GPs.

All patients are allocated a named GP. If you are unsure who your named GP is please ask at reception.

As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.

Disabled access is available at both the front and rear of the building. If you need assistance getting from your car into the surgery we have a wheelchair available for your use. Please ask at reception.

ACCESSIBLE INFORMATION STANDARD.- The AIS directs and defines a specific, consistent approach to identifying, recording, sharing and meeting the communication needs of people with a disability or sensory loss. We are happy to offer assistance to anyone who needs it. This includes people who are deaf, blind, have a learning disability, autism or dementia, or communication difficulties.

Please inform us of your preferred method of communication. We are able to provide information in Braille if required.

From the week commencing June the 12th we will be offering a bereavement service in the practice. Speak to your doctor for details.

We offer late appointments after 18.30 on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and an early morning appointment on Fridays.

These can be face to face or telephone consultations with the doctor

Please report any website problems to the surgery.

We are pleased to announce that we are offering the quadrivalent flu vaccine this year. This offers far superior protection against flu than the normal vaccine.
