We can provide travel information and where appropriate immunisations. If you require information regarding this service, please complete an online admin request form (travel clinic option) which will be reviewed by our practice nurses.
Sexual Health
Practice GPs and nurses are available to provide general advice relating to all sexual health matters. Chlamydia Screening and Treatment are also available, please ask a member of the clinical team for details.
Seasonal Flu, Swine Flu and Pneumovax Vaccinations
We provide seasonal flu vaccinations as part of the yearly national campaign in the autumn / winter.
Swine Flu and Pneumovax vaccinations are also available, if eligible upon request. If you have any doubt regarding whether you require to be vaccinated, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
Physiotherapy
There is no need to see a clinician at the surgery if you need a referral for Physiotherapy as you are able to self-refer for Physiotherapy by following this link.
Physiotherapy is also available via a referral from your GP or nurse practitioner.
Phlebotomy
Where a blood test is required by the surgery medical team or to aid monitoring of your condition we can arrange for this to be performed in surgery by a member of our nursing team.
Minor Operations / Joint Injections
The GPs at the surgery perform minor operations for certain conditions, such as removal of moles, skin tags, cysts, small lumps. Consultation with a GP is required beforehand and and can be arranged potentially through a SystmConnect Online Request, a photograph must be provided of the area with a tape measure to guide size.
All operations are performed in suitably equipped treatment rooms using a variety of techniques. We also provide joint injections.
Medical Examinations
An appointment should be made with a GP if you require a medical examination for such areas as life insurance, HGV, army medicals, driving licence, etc. The completion of pro-forma medical forms and reports is also covered under this service. This can be arranged through the administration office section of the website.
This is a private service for which a charge will be made. Where a charge applies you will be advised of the likely cost beforehand and should you subsequently agree to this charge you will be asked for payment before the form is completed.
Health Checks
We offer a range of health checks which include NHS health checks, blood pressure, smoking status, cholesterol status, learning disabilities, etc. Ask one of the clinical team for details.
Counselling
This service is provided in Plymouth by self-refer. MIND offer a telephone based counselling service that has direct access to the psychiatric team if required 01752 512280/ 01752 512281.
Contraception
Practice GPs and nurses are available to provide general contraceptive advice as well as for emergency contraception. The fitting of contraceptive devices / implants is available upon request and should be discussed with your GP.
